Our Programs

We participate in the propagation of Ringneck Pheasants to the Cranberry Mountain MUA, Cornwall Meadows MUA, and DEP Horsepound Wildlife Management Unit.   

We engage in the stocking of trout and walleye under permit by New York State DEC in lakes and streams throughout the county and actively support the DEC in their efforts to stock streams.

On National Hunting day in September, we offer Junior Hunter small game license holders a chance to participate in a pheasant hunt alongside trained dogs at the Cornwall Meadows Multiple Use area in the Town of Patterson. 

When assist and support youth clinics in Putnam County.  We gave youths fishing tackle and provided some training.  In 2024 we had 50 youths under 15 at Sycamore Park in Mahopac.

Federation member represents Putnam County sportspersons and clubs as a delegate to the New York State Department of Conservation Wildlife Fish and Game.

Federation member represents Putnam County sportspersons as a delegate to the New York State Conservation Council for Putnam County and Sporting Clubs within Putnam County.
